It can be very tempting to use every piece of news to send you into a frenzy as you plummet deeper into depression or a general sense of unease.
You need to change how you consume your news. What you need to do is view each piece of information in a calm manner and take your time with more important news. Such as looking at a traffic accident report shouldn't be viewed with the same intensity as any changes in how your country is handling Covid-19.
Now this could mean you start to consume news slower which might annoy your friends. They might expect you to have conclusions a few seconds after you hear something.
