Being Agender and Dealing with the Divine Masculine and Feminine

Credit
In most spiritual circles there is a belief in the Divine Masculine and Feminine. As I practice tarot, I am always reminded of those since certain cards are depictions of either the Divine Masculine or Feminine. Such as The Empress can really only be understood as the Divine Feminine.

Now there are decks that expand from that simple construct and are more friendly to those not identifying as cisgender. But if you're going to buy a random deck, it's not likely you'll run across a LGBTQ+ friendly deck.

In my mid to late twenties I heard the term genderfluid. Before that time I thought there was only cis and trans so I labeled myself as cis. But after finding out that term I realized I wasn't cis and started to identify as genderfluid. Years and years later I then realized my gender identity was agender as I didn't consider myself adhering to the gender binary at all. I didn't swing from woman to man. I was just always me.

As someone who has left the gender binary behind, I think of the Divine Masculine and Feminine as you would a fictional character. Sure they can impact me but at the end of the day they're not real. They're just words cisgender people made up to reassure themselves about the reality of the world they want.

If you're transgender or non-binary, I would love to hear your opinions on the Divine Masculine and Feminine.
