Daily Reading: Focus on Yourself

Your anxiety has started to affect how you go about your day. You might have trouble doing common things like breathing or eating. And who could blame you? There is something going on in your life that would make anyone have trouble functioning.

The only thing keeping you going now is knowing that things will get back to normal soon.

But how can you remain calm in the meantime?

I expect you want some grand revelation about being selfless and looking at the bigger picture. But that's not what I'll be giving you today.

To help you feel more like you're in your element, you need to focus on yourself. If you have dreams you've put on hold for others, pursue them now. If you're already pursuing those dreams, don't feel guilty about focusing on yourself.
